#JAMMU: In view of the reduced water discharge in the rivers of the Chenab Basin, power generation has declined significantly, resulting in a widened gap between power availability and demand. Consequently, several areas of Jammu experienced outages last night.
Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) wishes to assure its valued consumers that all necessary steps are being taken to procure additional power and mitigate the supply shortfall at the earliest.
Consumers are urged to use electricity judiciously, particularly during peak hours, in order to minimise grid curtailments and facilitate equitable distribution across the region.
JPDCL regrets the inconvenience caused to consumers and remains committed to restoring normalcy in power supply at the earliest.
