#JAMMU: In #Jammu and #Kashmir the Minister for #JalShakati, Javed Ahamd Rana said that the #Tawi River Front Project (Phase 1) shall be completed in April, 2025 within allotted cost of Rs 143.00 Cr.
The Minister was replying to a question raised by Arvind Gupta in the Legislative #Assembly.
The Minister has informed that 96% and 94% physical progress has been achieved on the left bank and right bank of the river respectively. While replying on the #Tawi Barrage works, the Minister said that the works have been taken up within an estimated cost of Rs. 64.80 Cr and Rs. 36.15 Cr have been expended.
He said that 85% of the works of Tawi Barrage and Artificial Lake stand completed. He said that in order to prevent the direct drain discharge into Ranbir Canal, DPR for an amount of Rs. 34.06 Crores have been prepared for execution of 10 numbers of works.
