#JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir has another reason to celebrate as 17-year-old Avyukt Mahajan, a student of Jodhamal Public School, Jammu, secured the prestigious title of Mr. Teen India 2026 – Runner-Up at the grand finale held in New Delhi.
Avyukt emerged among the Top 3 winners in the national-level pageant and also won the coveted “Beautiful Smile” sub-title, showcasing his confidence, intelligence, communication skills, personality and stage presence.
The winner’s title was secured by R. Kautilya of Hyderabad, while Aditya Bansal of Mumbai was declared the First Runner-Up.
Avyukt is the son of Meenu Mahajan, the first Mrs. India from J&K (2016), and businessman Varun Mahajan. Coming from a family associated with personality development, glamour and entrepreneurship, Avyukt has demonstrated his own potential on a national platform.
The Alee Club Miss & Mr. Teen India pageant, regarded as India’s oldest teen pageant, was initiated by legendary Bollywood actor late Amrish Puri in 1997. The pageant is directed by Ramp Guru Sambita Bose and M.M. Mehta.
Unlike conventional beauty contests, the pageant focuses on IQ, personality, confidence, communication, stage presence and overall grooming of teenagers.
The competition saw auditions across almost all states of India, with around 500 contestants qualifying for the semi-finals. After several rigorous rounds, 42 contestants earned their place in the grand finale.
Avyukt’s performance was assessed by a distinguished jury comprising Bollywood personalities Arbaaz Khan, Imran Khan, Ayub Khan, Pooja Banerjee and Shahbaz Khan, along with Justice Dr. Sudhir Kumar Jain.
His achievement has brought immense pride to Jammu and Kashmir, placing the region’s young talent firmly in the national spotlight. At just 17, Avyukt’s success is an inspiring example of the confidence, determination and potential of the Union Territory’s youth.
