Manoj Sinha performed the Pratham Puja at the Holy Cave Shrine of Amarnath Cave, marking the ceremonial commencement of the annual Amarnath Yatra.
On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor prayed to Baba Barfani for peace, prosperity, good health, and the well-being of all. The annual pilgrimage is scheduled to begin on July 3.
He stated that the Administration, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, Army, Police, security forces, local community, service providers, and volunteers are working in complete coordination to ensure a safe, smooth, and memorable pilgrimage for devotees.
The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted that with significantly upgraded infrastructure, enhanced pilgrim facilities, and the wholehearted support of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, all preparations have been completed to welcome pilgrims for a spiritually enriching journey.
“May Baba Amarnath Ji bless us all,” he said.
