#SRINAGAR: In Jammu and Kashmir the School Education Department has officially kicked off its Annual Transfer Drive for 2026, inviting online applications from eligible teachers, lecturers, headmasters, principals, and educational officers starting August 23 until September 8.
That under the newly notified Transfer Policy, the process is mandatory for staff who have completed their required tenure in administrative offices or specific zones, while also providing options for those seeking transfers on medical, security, single-parenthood, or remote-zone grounds with proper documentation.
The department emphasized that applications will be accepted exclusively through its online portal (atd.jk.gov.in) with no offline requests entertained, and final postings will be determined via a transparent, point-based merit system aligned strictly with institutional vacancies and administrative needs.
