NEW DELHI: #Opposition MPs staged a dramatic skit during their protest on the Parliament premises on Friday, using theatrical performances to target the government over various issues.

Independent MP Pappu Yadav arrived dressed as a priest as part of the protest. During the act, #RahulGandhi was seen placing money into a donation box, while the ‘priest’ was also seen touching the feet of the #Ayodhya MP as part of the performance.

In the final act of the skit, Pappu Yadav, still dressed as the priest, ran away with the donation box, drawing laughter and attention from fellow opposition MPs and onlookers.
The symbolic protest was one of several demonstrations held by opposition parties during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament to press their demands and criticize the government.

The ruling BJP has, however, dismissed such performances as political theatrics, while the opposition maintains that creative protests are a legitimate way to highlight public concerns.
