#SAMBA: Union Minister Dr #JitendraSingh has announced that the Border Roads Organisation (#BRO) has issued orders for allocation of ₹38.84 crore for rehabilitation work on the Samba–Battal Road.
According to Dr Singh, the decision comes within 48 hours of an assurance given on August 31 following demands from local residents regarding repair and restoration of the road.
The sanctioned amount is expected to be released within a week, while rehabilitation work has already been initiated, he said.
The road is important for residents and connectivity across parts of Samba, Kathua and Udhampur districts.
